Millions of people suffer from unsightly reddish
vascular conditions. Although these imperfections
are generally more of a cosmetic rather than a medical
issue, many people would like to be rid of these unattractive
veins and blemishes.

Lesions
At Bay Area Laser Surgery Center treatment of vascular
lesions are performed safely and quickly by the latest
in laser and intense pulsed light technology. |
|
This technique does not require any injection or anesthesia
and is done almost painlessly in a few minutes. Laser/Intense
pulsed light safely destroys these types of unsightly visible
skin conditions so they fade away and slowly disappear.
After treatment there is minimal redness and discomfort
without skin damage. Application of moisturizing lotions
after the treatment is advised. More than one treatment
may be required for certain lesions.
The result of treatment is permanent, although development
of new lesions may require re-treatment in the future. These
procedures use special techniques to penetrate to a controlled
and precise depth, reducing the risk of scarring or pigmentation
problems, thus making these procedures safe and the outcome
predictable. These modalities allow your treatment to be
specifically customized for your skin type and skin condition.
This flexible interactive approach to treatment cannot be
achieved with any other noninvasive method currently available.

of the Skin
Benign pigmented lesions are colored spots or patches on
the skin caused by increased production of melanin, the
dark pigment in the skin. These are cosmetic blemishes,
with no medical consequences. Some lesions are present at
birth, many develop with exposure to the sun or with age.
At Bay Area Laser Surgery Center a revolutionary noninvasive
laser system and Intense pulsed light (photoderm) is being
used to eliminate dark color skin lesions.
These systems of laser and intense light therapy safely
eliminate these spots without surgery, cutting , freezing
or other painful procedures. Intense pulsed light/laser
safely reduces melanin, the dark pigment in the skin, so
that pigmented lesions fade and slowly disappear. Treatment
involves a pulse of intense light/laser, similar to the
flash of a camera. A slight pinch or snap of a rubber band
is felt. No local anesthesia or pain medication is required.
You can return to work the same day and resume all regular
activities immediately after treatment. It is necessary
to avoid sun exposure to the treated areas. Sun avoidance
is always a good idea.
